Service Description
***All Trips start at 7 AM unless the captain pushes it back due to weather or other unforeseen reasons. Unfortunately the booking software makes us put a time frame of availability... but no way to eliminate the option of later departures. Thank you for your understanding.*** We have 2 options for the 8 hour trip: We can do a "meat trip" or do a "wreck trip". On the 8 Hour meat trip, we look to target keeper size groupers and snappers. Our main catches include Red Grouper, Lane Snapper and Vermillion Snapper. It is not uncommon to catch mangrove snappers, porgies, sharks or other bottom dwellers on these trips. We generally are fishing in depths of 90-110 feet of water on these trips. Generally we get around 4 hours of fishing time on these trips. We expect to catch several keeper size fish on these trips, but not always "limits". If your looking to maximize your fishing time/trying to get limits, consider booking the longer 10 hr or longer trips! On the 8 hours wreck trips, we venture out to fish some of our artificial reefs and wrecks that hold big predators! We will be fishing for mostly bigger catch and release trophy fish such as Goliath Grouper, Amberjack, Barracuda and sharks, We can drop a line down to see if we can sneak some snappers past the predators before they swallow or cut it in half! Typically not catching fish to bring back to eat on these trips, but what we do catch usually make for an awesome picture and memory that will last a life time Targeting tend to loose more tackle on wreck trips so there is a slight upcharge.
